3 QC motorbike theft suspects fall

Operatives of the Batasan Police Station (PS 6) arrested three suspects including two minors for robbery and stealing a motorcycle in a follow-up operation in Quezon City.

PLTCOL Alexy Sonido, the Station Commander of PS 6, identified the suspects as Rodrigo Mabalda, 41, and two male minors, all residents of Brgy. Payatas A, Quezon City.

A repot showed that victim Jay Mar Dela Cruz, 20, resident of Caloocan City, parked his motorcycle at around 8:00 p.m. of October 29, 2021 in front of his house in Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.

However, at around 3 a.m. of October 30, 2021, the victim discovered that his motorcycle was missing.

He immediately reported the incident to the Batasan Police Station on the same day.

Responding policemen immediately conducted a follow-up operation that located the suspects along Dama De Noche St., Brgy. Payatas, Quezon City and recovered the Suzuki Raider motorcycle parked in front of the suspects house.

It was also seen on the CCTV footages that the two male minor suspects were driving the stolen motorcycle. The operatives immediately arrested the suspects and recovered two other motorcycles.

Initially, the motorcycles were verified to be under the name of Cesar Estrada and Moises Francisco.

Cases for violation of R.A. 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Law) and Robbery will be filed against the arrested suspects before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
