3 most wanted car thieves fall
THREE most wanted car theft suspects were arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group in separate manhunt operations this week, PNP-HPG director Brig. Gen. William M. Segun said yesterday.
One of the suspects identified as Leo Leaño, the subject of a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 10883 ort the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 issued by the San Pedro City Regional Trial Court Branch 170 in Laguna last October 29, was arrested in Bgy. Galutan in Catarman, Northern Samar last Tuesday afternoon, the official said.
Members of the Northern Samar Provincial Highway Patrol Team and the Catarman Municipal Police Station apprehended the 48-year old suspect.
The second suspect identified as Doven Alejandro, 33, was arrested by Antique PHPT operatives on the basis of a warrant for violation of RA 10883 issued by the San Jose, Antique RTC Branch 12 last November 14.
A P300,000 bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the accused who was tagged as the 10th most wanted man in Antique province.
