THREE members of a gunrunning, gun-for-hire and drug trafficking syndicate operating in Metro Manila and Calabarzon region were arrested in a Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-led operation in Pateros, Manila last Thursday, PNP-CIDG director, Major General Albert Ignatius D. Ferro said.

The official identified the suspects as Francis Mariano alias ‘Kambal,’ John Peter Villamar and Rodel Solomon, all said to be members of the ‘Loloy Fernandez Crime Group’ operating in the National Capital Region and Region 4-A.

Ferro said that recovered from the suspects during an entrapment operation in Barangay Sta. Ana in Pateros were one caliber .38 revolver, a cal. 9mm semi-automatic pistol, several live ammunition and magazines about 74 grams of shabu valued at P503,200.

All are now facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs and illegal firearms before the Pateros prosecutor’s office.

A record check showed that the suspects were also facing a similar pending case before another Taguig City court in connection with a similar offense last July.
