POLICE have launched a manhunt against three young men who shot and seriously wounded a 17-year-old teenage student during a riot between rival gangs in Malabon City.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot said he already directed Sub-Station 5 commander P/Lt. Zoilo Arquillo to conduct a manhunt against Albert Lozano, Ayan Calidro, both residents of Blk 13 Hiwas St. Dagat-dagatan, Brgy. Longos and Deniel Soria of Sawata St. Caloocan city who were responsible for the shooting and seriously wounding a minor victim.

The incident, according to Malabon police homicide investigator P/SSgt. Diego Ngippol, happened on Saturday along Hiwas St. Brgy. Longos, after rival gangs Original Batang Tondo (OBT) and Stoke Fam (SF) clashed at around 4 a.m.

Witnesses told police that the three suspects, all members of SF gang, while armed with a pen gun, simultaneously fired their respective weapons towards the victim, a member of OBT, hitting him once in his left hips.

The two groups scampered on different directions when they sensed the presence of responding police and barangay officials, leaving the minor victim sprawled bloodied on the pavement.

The victim was rushed by his mother to Tondo Medical Center but was later transferred to Philippine Orthopedic Center for medical treatment.
