THREE people, including a woman, were killed when they were peppered with bullets by two still unidentified gunmen Thursday after midnight in Pasay City.

The victims, two males from Bauan, Batangas, and a woman, from Baco, Oriental Mindoro, died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds in their bodies.

Based on the initial investigation received by Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/Brigadier Gen. Kirby John Kraft from Pasay City Police Chief P/Col. Froilan Uy, the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. (Feb. 2) along Don Carlos Village, in front of LRT Depot Gate, Bgy. 190, Zone 20 Pasay City.

The victims were on board a white Honda Civic when they were shot repeatedly by two unidentified suspects, both wearing bonnets.

Residents in the area who reporters interviewed said one of the suspects was talking to the driver of the vehicle when they heard successive shots and saw the gunmen escape on foot towards their getaway motorcycle while the victim’s car was able to move forward until it hit a concrete post near the Tripa de Galina River.

Responding elements of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered inside the victim’s car a caliber .45 pistol with a magazine loaded with six live ammunition, around P20,000 cash, while a plastic sachet containing an undetermined quantity of shabu was retrieved from one of the victims.

Investigators also recovered from the crime scene more than 20 empty shells, which will be submitted to SPD Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination.

Kraft said investigators from Pasay Police Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) are now reviewing the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage installed by barangay in the area that may help them identify the suspect while the motive behind the killing is yet to be determined.
