3 drug ‘peddlers’ nabbed in Tanauan drug bust
CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Three illegal drug peddlers the other day were arrested by the authorities during a buy-bust operation in Tanauan City, Batangas.
A report to Regional Director of PRO Calabarzon (Police Regional Office – Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) PBGen. Antonio C. Yarra by Batangas Police Director PCol. Glicerio C. Cansilao, the arrested were identified as Mariano De Ocampo alias “Nunoy”, 45, driver, Bonifacio Parungao, 35, and Ma. Luisa Juntilla Salipdan, 36, both unemployed. The suspects are all residents of Bgy. Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna.
Cansilao said the three suspects were arrested by Tanauan City Police after the drug deal that happened in Poblacion 4 at 12:20 a.m.
Seven packages containing shabu, P1,000 buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia, and a Honda Sedan were confiscated from them.
The Batangas Provincial Forensic Unit (BPFU) will examine the recovered evidence.
The suspects are now facing charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.
