3 ‘drug peddlers’ nabbed in Laguna
POLICE operatives arrested a 39-year-old woman and two men who were involved in alleged drug pushing on Monday during an anti-illegal drug bust in three separate operations in Sta Rosa City, Laguna.
Acting Police Provincial Director PCol. Rogarth Campo reported to Calabarzon Regional Director PBGen. Antonio Yarra that the arrested suspects identified as Maria Abegail Molina Bermudez, an entertainer and resident of Bgy. Pulong, Christian Sodela Flores, 23, of Bgy. Don Jose and Benjard Morales, 24, also of Bgy. Pulong, both in Sta Rosa City.
Santa Rosa City Police under the direct supervision of PLt. Col. Paulito Sabulao Chief of Police that Flores has sold illegal drugs to a police officer who acted as a poseur buyer for P500 buy-bust money.
A preventive search led to the confiscation of five plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 0.15 grams with a street value of P3,000 and three P100 drug money and recovered buy-bust money.
In a separate police operation by Santa Rosa Police, Morales also sold illegal drugs to undercover police for P500 buy-bust money.
Confiscated from the suspect are six plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated weight of 0.21 grams valued at P3,500, P300 drug money, and buy-bust money.
Bermudez was arrested also arrested in a buy-bust operation.
Recovered from the female suspect are 2 plastic sachets of shabu–weighing 0.06 grams with an estimated street value of P1,500, P300 drug money, and buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 while the seized pieces of evidence will be submitted to the Crime Laboratory Office for forensic examination.
Campo said that they commend for their accomplishment in the government’s war against illegal drugs and criminality.
He urged the people of Laguna to actively participate in their campaign against illegal drugs to save their families from the crimes that could be committed by these drug personalities.
