CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba City, Laguna – Three chiefs of police in Calabarzon were relieved of their posts for non-compliance of the Internal Cleansing Policy (ICP) of Philippine National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar.
Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon) director Brig. Gen. Eliseo DC Cruz said sacked were Pagsanjan, Laguna police chief Capt. Ruffy Taduyo; Malvar, Batangas police head Capt. Emiliano Camama and General Emilio Aguinaldo (GEA), Cavite police chief Capt. Ricky Gonzales.
Maj. Clemente Garcia III replaced Taduyo as chief of police of Pagsanjan while Capt. Aldrin Baysa turned over the post at the Malvar Municipal Police Station vacated by Camama .
Capt. Jojit DC Ramos was designated as the new chief of police of General Emilio Aguinaldo Municipal Police Station.
Cruz said the three were immediately fired for not following the ICP directive of the PNP chief that aims to repaint the tarnished reputation of the police and ensure quality among the ranks of the police officers.
“Umikot ako sa ating police stations from Sta. Last May nag-assume ng office si chief PNP,” the PRO4 chief head said.
The Calabarzon top cop said when he visited Malvar Municipal Police Station, Camama was not around. When Camama arrived, he was clad in shorts and slippers.
Gonzales was removed as chief of police of GEA for command responsibility.
He said charges were filed against Lopez.
Cruz has conducted surprise inspections to 61 police stations in Calabarzon — 16 in Cavite, 17 in Laguna, 10 in Batangas, four in Rizal and 14 in Quezon – since he assumed the regional director post last month.
