3 arrested in Malabon drug sting
THREE drug personalities, including a Filipino of Japanese descent, were arrested in a buy-bust operation Saturday in Malabon City.
Yoshinori Yamaguchi, 31, of 124 Celia II St., Bgy. Bayan-Bayanan; Mark Anthony Biazon, 21, of 19 Oliveros Compound, Flores St., Bgy. Flores; and Anthony Dela Cruz, 29, of Rodriguez St., Bgy. Bayan-Bayanan were arrested at around 2 a.m. after conspiring to sell illegal drugs to a police poseur-buyer along Damson St., Bgy. Dampalit.
Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot said the drug sting operation was conducted by elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/SSgt. Julius Sembrero under the supervision of P/Lt. Alexander Dela Cruz after more than a week of surveillance and monitoring operation.
Upon their arrest, the suspects yielded a total of 10 grams of shabu with standard drug price worth P68,000 and the P500 marked money used in the drug sting operation.
The three were presented for inquest proceedings before the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs under Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
