3 armed men rob convenience store in Cabanatuan, kill manager
CABANATUAN CITY – Three men armed with guns and a knife robbed a convenience store in this city and stabbed its manager dead early Friday morning.
Police are pursuing the suspects who carted away an undetermined amount of money from the cash register of the 7-Eleven store located in Mabini Street Extension near Bgy. Mabini Homesite Integrated School, this city.
Reports said one of the suspects stabbed the store manager with a knife in front of his two co-workers before emptying the contents of the cash register.
The robbery went viral on social media after netizens expressed grief and demanded justice for the killing of the 7-Eleven manager identified as Ryan De Goma.
“Justice for brother Ryan De Goma,” said a post by netizen Belen Abrinica Patoc.
Some netizens also mentioned in their posts that security guards should be hired to make this type of businesses safe for the employees and its customers.
Meanwhile, two days after the incident, the Cabanatuan City police has yet to issue any official report regarding the robbery-killing.
