INANUNSYO ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na nai-deport na ang 27 Chinese nationals na empleyado ng isang malaking Philippine Offshore Gaming Operation (POGO) noong Agosto 1 lulan ng Philippine Airlines patungong Shanghai, China.

Anim pa sanang dayuhan ang kasabay sa deportation pero hindi sila nakakuha ng clearance mula sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) dahil sa mga pending na kaso sa bansa.

Nilinaw ni BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco na sa sandaling maresolba ang kaso ng anim susunod silang ide-deport agad.

“We are committed to ensuring that all necessary legal procedures are followed before deportation. This is to guarantee that justice is served and the integrity of our legal system is upheld,” saad ni Tansingco.

Ang mga deported Chinese nationals kabilang sa mga inaresto ng Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) sa magkakahiwalay na operasyon sa mga illegal online gaming activities kabilang na ang POGO sa Las Piñas, Pasay at Tarlac.

“Our collaboration with other agencies, such as the PAOCC, highlights our unified effort to maintain law and order in the country,” dagdag ni Tansingco.
