TWO minors, aged 14 and 15, involved in stabbing and seriously wounding a jobless man were arrested by authorities Sunday afternoon in Makati City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said the minor students, who were both residing in Bgy. West Rembo, were temporarily turned over to the Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center pending the filing of charges for frustrated homicide against them.

The initial report conducted by Makati Police West Rembo Sub-Station showed that the minor suspects and the victim, identified as Mark Omega, 21, of Corpuz St. West Rembo, were having a heated altercation before the incident at around 7:00 a.m. for an unknown reason near the victim’s house.

A witness told police that he saw the two minor suspects left the vicinity but returned moments later already armed with a bladed weapon and confronted the victim before they took turns in stabbing him.

After the incident, the minors immediately escaped while the victim was rushed by his relatives to Ospital ng Makati, where he underwent medical treatment.

In a follow-up operation by West Rembo Bantay Bayan members led by Maurice Tado and Joylyn Gamao, the suspects were arrested at around 2:30 p.m. and seized a tactical knife used in stabbing the victim.
