2 suspects in the killing of Angeles City student fall

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – The two suspects in the killing of an 18-year-old student in Angeles City were arrested over the weekend as a result of a continuous follow-up operation.

The lifeless body of an 18-year-old student, a resident of Jesus St, Purok 4, Barangay Pulungbulu, Angeles City, was found by her mother on the evening of December 16 inside their room, and valuables, including a mobile phone and watch, were missing.

Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 Director Brig. Gen. Cesar R Pasiwen said in the follow-up investigation of operatives of Police Station 1-ACPO, some witnesses saw the two suspects leaving the premises of the victim were live-in partners, both residents of Bgy. Pulungbulu.

Two t-shirts with blood stains and one kitchen knife were recovered at the suspects’ house while the assistance of SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operatives) was requested in collecting and examining DNA.

The couple is now facing charges of robbery-homicide and is now under the custody of Angeles City Police Station 1.

“The unremitting efforts of our personnel led to the identification and arrest of the suspects involved in this crime. We will not stop until justice is finally served to the victim, and we will make sure that air-tight cases will be filed against the suspects,” Pasiwen said.
