2 robbers nabbed in QC

Authorities arrested two suspects for robbery hold-up and violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition in relation to the Comelec gun ban on Tuesday night in Quezon City.

PLTCOL Von June Nuyda, the Station Commander of Galas Police Station (PS 11), identified the suspects as Aries Timola, 20 years old, and Jefferson Ablao, 18 years old, both residents of Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City.

Investigation shows that at about 11:30 p.m. of January 24, 2022, the victim Dianne Rose Necasio was waiting for a public utility vehicle at G. Araneta Ave. near corner Kaliraya St., Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City, the suspects suddenly appeared, declared heist, and at gunpoint, took the victim’s phone tablet, and immediately fled on foot.

The victim shouted for help; thus, the policemen who were conducting patrol and surveillance near the incident immediately responded, and arrested the suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were one caliber .38 revolver with Serial Number 105356, two live ammunition, and the stolen phone tablet.

The suspects will be charged for Robbery under Article 293 of the Revised Penal Code and violation of the Comelec gun ban.

PBGEN Yarra commended the PS 11 operatives for their quick response to the incident which resulted in the arrest of the suspects. “Pinapaalalahan ko ang ating mga kababayan na magdoble ingat dahil sa panahon ngayon ay marami pa ring mapagsamantalang tao sa paligid na naghahanap lamang ng tiyempo upang makapagbiktima.”
