2 Polish nat’ls, 2 Pinays hurt in Siquijor road crash
TWO Polish nationals and their Filipina companions were injured in a motorcycle accident in San Juan, Siqujor, early morning Friday, a Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 report said.
Przemyslaw Topocewski, 40; and Michael Topolewski,33, and their companions Jelyn Chavez, 27, and Jasmin Academia, 23, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries they suffered as a result of the accident that took place along the municipal road of Barangay Maite in San Juan municipality around 2 a.m. Friday.
An investigation showed that the two Polish nationals were each driving a 110cc motorbike, both still for registration, in the same direction from Sitio Cang-obao in Bgy. Maite heading to the Maite proper when they lost control of the motorcycles while negotiating a blind curve in the area.
As a result, the two overshot the highway and landed in the bushy area. The two Polish nationals and their respective back riders, both residents of Dumaguete City, were rushed to a local hospital by responding officers.
The two motorbikes were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Police are investigating if the four were under the influence of liquor before the incident.
