2 pinned to death inside car in Las Pinas mishap
TWO persons died and two others were injured in a road accident Wednesday before dawn in Las Piñas City.
Carl Jayson Sta Ana, 31, of Kawit, Cavite and Reynaldo Regalado, Jr., 52, of 24 Magnolia St., Dona Manuela Subdivision, Pamplona Tres, succumbed to severe head and body injuries while being rushed to the nearest hospital while Rona Mae Glean, 25 and Ronald Regalado Glean, Jr. 16, both of Dona Manuela Subdivision, Pamplona Tres, who were at the back seat, sustained injuries in the body and were placed under observation at the hospital.
Las Piñas police traffic investigator P/SSgt. Lemery Galang said the incident occurred at around 2:15 a.m. along Alabang-Zapote Road while the vehicle involved, a Toyota Vios (NAK-3082) driven by Regalado, was travelling at high speed.
Upon reaching Dona Cristeta Subdivision, Pamplona I, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a huge tree.
Police said both fatalities who were in front of the vehicle were pinned between the car’s dashboard and front seat prompting rescue team to use mechanical equipment to extract their bodies.
