2 nabbed for guns, drugs in Batangas

CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas — Two individuals were arrested by authorities the other day, one in the implementation of a search warrant and one in a drug buy-bust operation in the cities of Batangas and Sto. Tomas, respectively.

A report to the newly-installed Batangas police director PCOL Glicerio C. Cansilao by Batangas City Police Station chief Lt. Col Gerry M. Laylo said the suspect was identified as Ernesto Armamento Gomez.

Armamento, Laylo said, was handcuffed around 4:45 a.m. in Bgy. Cuta, Batangas City by combined operatives from Provincial Intelligence Unit Batangas PPO (lead), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Batangas PPO, Regional Special Operations Unit Regional Intelligence Division 4A, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Batangas PFU and Batangas CPS during the implementation of a search warrant against him for violation of Republic Acts 9165 and 10591.

Armamento is a member of Ronald Gomez Criminal Gang and Perculeza Drug Group, Laylo said.

The operating team confiscated several heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and one caliber .38 revolver with four pieces of live ammo from the suspect.

Meanwhile, Sto. Tomas City Police Station commander Lt. Col. Armie S. Agbuya reported that they arrested the suspect identified as Prince Rhenren Agojo Laqui in a drug buy-bust conducted around 8:20 a.m. in Bgy. San Roque, this city and seized from him three pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one cal. 38 revolver with two live bullets and a P500 bill used as marked money.
