2 MWPs nabbed in Batangas
CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Authorities arrested two most wanted persons (MWPs) in separate operations in Batangas the other day.
Batangas Police Director Col. Glicerio C. Cansilao said the no. 2 MWP (provincial level) is a native of Basay, Samar and currently residing in Bgy. Bagumbayan, Tanauan City was arrested for murder at Axie Subdivision, Bgy. Bagumbayan.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Presiding Judge Alexander P. Tamayo, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 15, Malolos City, Bulacan, on November 10, 2021, and without bail for the murder of Alvin Bermejo of Bgy. Sampaloc, San Rafael Bulacan.
Meanwhile, another ranked no. 2 MWP at the municipal level from Bgy. Cahigam, Rosario, Batangas was collared by the town authorities in Bgy. Itlugan, Rosario, for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 (Republic Act 9262).
