2 men held for selling shabu in Ecija
SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija — Anti-narcotics police operatives here nabbed two men for selling illegal drugs worth P1,000 during buy-bust operations conducted here on Friday night.
In his report to Mayor Arvin C. Salonga, newly-designated police officer-in-charge Major Abraham C. Atencio identified those arrested as Modesto Lopez, 47, alias Desto, plasticware vendor, of Sitio Hacienda Pantoc; and Norvin Lucente, 39, farmer, alias Bulok, of Sitio Bantog, both of Bgy. San Francisco, this town.
The two suspects were busted in Bgy. San Francisco at 6 p.m.
Atencio said the arresting officers seized a P500 bill in buy-bust money from each of the suspects during the operation, including two plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 0.2 grams worth P1,360.
Atencio said the two suspects opted to remain silent while they were apprised of their rights during the arrest.
They will be slapped with violations of Republic Act No. 9165 and now placed under custody at the police detention cell here for proper disposition.
