THE City Government of Mandaluyong has dedicated two mega vaccination sites that will operate night vaccination-extended hours in order to inoculate more individuals.

As it has started the vaccination of workers in essential sectors and indigent residents or individuals under the A4 and A5 priority group respectively as categorized by the IATF-EID.

Mayor Menchie Abalos has approved vaccination hours at SM Megamall Mega Vaccination Center and the Mandaluyong City Medical Center (MCMC) Mega Vaccination Site 1 to run from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Medical staff and other personnel in both sites will have two shifts to ensure that the delivery of vaccines to individuals will not be interrupted.

The city has been alternately operating night vaccination-extended hours in the two sites for the past two weeks to serve individuals under A1 to A5 priority groups.

With the two sites dedicated to operate for 12 hours, it readies the city government in vaccinating more people as well as helps the national Government deploy more vaccines that will be arriving in the country next month.

The more vaccines delivered to people, the sooner the country will reach herd immunity against COVID-19.
