MORE than P100 thousand worth of illegal drugs was seized by authorities from two arrested drug pushers in a buy-bust operation Sunday evening in Caloocan City.

Northern Police District (NPD) District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) assistant chief P/Maj. Dennis Odtuhan identified the arrested suspects as Jerome Amador, 22, and Michael Sunga. 37, both residents of 208 BMBA Compound, 4th Avenue Brgy. 118, Caloocan City.

In his report to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director P/MGen. Jonnel Estomo, NPD Director P/BGen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones said the planned drug sting was hatched by operatives of DDEU following reports of rampant drug activities being carried out by the suspects in Brgy. 118.

At around 11 p.m., the suspects were nabbed when they conspired in selling shabu worth P2,500 to a police poseur-buyer on 263 BMBA, 4th Avenue.

Seized from the suspects were more or less 15 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P102,000.00 and the buy-bust money consisting of one genuine P500 bill and two pieces of P1,000 boodle money.

BGen. Peñones said charges for selling, possession and conspiracy under Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 was filed by police against the suspects before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office.
