A delivery rider and a jobless woman were nabbed following in the confiscation of P350K worth of illegal drugs in an anti-illegal drug operation Thursday in San Pedro City, Laguna.
Police Acting Provincial Director PCol. Rogarth Campo in a report to CALABARZON Regional Director PBGen. Eliseo DC Cruz, said the arrested suspects were identified as Gilbert Gabatin, of Bgy. Maharlika, San Pedro City, Laguna and a woman, Mar Grace Larona, of Muntinlupa City.
San Pedro City Police under the direct supervision of PLTColl. Solinap Jaca (OIC) said the anti-drug operation was conducted at about 9:49 p.m. at Ma. Aurora Ave, Bgy San Antonio, San Pedro City after the suspects was trying to sell the illegal drugs to a police officer who acted as a poseur buyer in exchange for P1,500.00 used as buy-bust money.
A preventive search led to the confiscation of ten pieces of plastic sachets suspected shabu with an estimated weight of more or less 50 grams and with a street value of P350,000.00, recovered drug money amounting to P2,000.00 and 1 coin purse, and recovered 1,500 buy-bust money.
The suspects are now under the custody of San Pedro CPS and will be charged for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, while the seized pieces of evidence will be submitted to the Crime Laboratory Office for forensic examination.
