
2 Chinese yield P6.8-M worth of shabu in Pasay sting
TWO Chinese nationals believed to be engaged in big-time drug trafficking activities in Metro Manila were arrested by members of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG).
In a report to PNP chief, General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, PNP-DEG Officer-in-Charge, Colonel Rolando B. Cuya Jr. said that the two yielded a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million during a buy-bust operation in Dapitan Street in Barangay 6, Tuesday in Pasay City past 7 p.m.
Undercover officers from the PNP-DEG Special Operations Unit 3 conducted the sting with the assistance of the Pasay City Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
The two foreigners were identified only as alias ‘Chang,’29, and ‘Lu,’26, both males categorized as ‘high-value individuals’ by the PNP.
The suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs of 2002 for sale and possession of prohibited drugs.
