THE BBM-Sara Uniteam kicked off Sunday its first caravan in Mindanao in support of the presidential bid of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte, a move formalizing their alliance in next year’s polls.

Marcos, standard-bearer of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), and Duterte, vice presidential aspirant of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD), made their first public appearance together by joining thousands of their supporters in the longest motorcade in Davao del Norte with House Majority Leader and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin G. Romualdez, Ilocos Norte congressional candidate Sandro Marcos, and other key political allies in Mindanao.

“It’s great to see the overwhelming support of the people, mostly volunteer riders who joined the longest caravan in Mindanao so far for the BBM-Sara Uniteam. We express our gratitude for extending their support to BBM and Mayor Sara, our Lakas-CMD Chairperson. Let’s continue to unite and foster positive relationships for the common good of our country,” Romualdez, Lakas-CMD President, said.

“ Protektahan natin ang ating kandidato, protektahan natin ating Presidente at protektahan natin si BBM During the caravan,” Mayor Sara told the BBM-Sara Uniteam’s thousands of followers during the caravan. Thousands of vehicles, mostly on motorcycles met at the starting point at Barangay Guadalupe in Carmen, Davao del Norte to voluntarily participate in the caravan and show support for the BBM-Sara tandem.

The participants traversed Guadalupe Bridge, Libuganon Bridge, Magdum Curvada, Palengke, Sobrecarey, Roxas Palengke, Quezon, Abad Santos, Rizal, Pioneer, and Highway Lapu-Lapu Street.

Marcos, who was joined by Duterte, delivered his Uniteam message at the Cuntapay Compound on Lapu-Lapu Street in Tagum City immediately after the motorcade.

During the event, Marcos and Duterte raised their arms together to support each other and seal their alliance for 2022 presidential elections.

Before his speech, Marcos was introduced by South Cotabato Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. of PFP while Duterte was introduced by Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) stalwart Davao de Oro Gov. Jayvee Tyron L. Uy after Davao del Norte Vice Governor Rey T. Uy delivered the opening remarks for the BBM-Sara event.

Also on Sunday, Marcos was scheduled to lead the oath-taking of new PFP members at the Cuntapay Compound and inaugurate the PFP Headquarters at the Highway Lapu-Lapu Street.

Earlier, Marcos announced the BBM-Sara ticket for next year’s presidential and vice-presidential elections after Duterte allied and asked support from BBM’s camp.

Duterte is also the HNP Chairperson.
