CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas – A total of 427 individuals were arrested in August by the Batangas Police Provincial Office, Provincial PIO chief P/Lt. Mary Ann DV Espina said on Thursday.

Batangas police director Col. Glicerio C. Cansilao said of the total number, 167 were involved in illegal drugs, while 153 were illegal gambling suspects.

Seized from the suspects were 147.34 grams of shabu worth P1,001,232.

Also confiscates were 16.65 grams of marijuana with an estimated value of P1,998.

Cash amounting to P134,987 were seized from the illegal gambling suspects.

On the other hand, 10 loose firearms were seized from 13 persons.

Also, arrestes were a total lf 78 wanted persons.

“Batangas PPO is aggressive in doing its mandate of serving and protecting the people from criminality through law enforcement,” said Col. Cansilao.
