11 collared in QCPD’s anti-drug ops

THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) conducted six anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the arrest of 11 individuals and the confiscation of P105,740 worth of shabu in the past 24 hours.

According to QC top Acting Director Colonel Melecio Buslig Jr., nine of the 11 drug suspects were apprehended by different police stations where a total of P51,340 worth of illegal drugs were seized.

The Laloma Police Station (PS 1) arrested Romelyn Egaña, 33, of Bgy. Sto. Domingo yielded four grams of shabu worth P27,200.

Likewise, the Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) nabbed John Marc Punzalan, 25, of Bgy. Gulod, in possession of another four grams of shabu with the same value.

“Ang matagumpay na pagkasa ng mga operations na ito ay patunay ng aming dedikasyon na wakasan ang paglaganap ng ipinagbabawal na gamot at patuloy na protektahan ang ating mamamayan mula sa masamang epekto ng droga,” Buslig, Jr. said.
