101-year-old grandma gets COVID booster shot

THE vaccination of a 101-year-old woman in Imus City has garnered thousands of compliments on social media during the house to house mobile vaccination program of the City Health Office last Monday.

Attorney Aurora Sayoc Abella or Lola Auring to those who know her, of Bgy. 1-C, Imus City, fearlessly received her COVID-19 booster shot during the continuation of the vaccination program in the city.

Lola Auring was born on October 7, 1920.

She was the town’s councilor in 1964 to 1967 under Mayor Dominador Camerino’s era.

In October 2020, she was awarded by the local government a plaque and P100,000 cash after reaching the age of 100.

The local government urged people to get vaccinated, especially now that the number of COVID cases is increasing.

Imus City has recorder 1,375 active cases as of January 10.
