Around 100 families in Bgy. Malinao, Pasig received food packs from the Pasig City Police Station Thursday.

Members of the Pasig City Police distributed the food packs and cooked meals at around 7 a.m. to the barangay residents, who are mostly women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities and children.

The police also conducted a feeding program for the children and distributed porridge and bread.

The activity aims to strengthen the spirit of “bayanihan” or solidarity among Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the Pasig City Police said the feeding program and distribution of grocery packs were conducted in cooperation with the barangay and non-government organizations.

Before the distribution of food packs, the Pasig Police conducted a clean-up drive in Bgy. Malinao.
