10 Pampanga cops in ‘hot water’ for robbery

POLICE are investigating the robbery allegedly committed by 10 members of the police officers during a “tupada” (illegal cockfight) raid last Wednesday in a compound in Pampanga.

The police officers are assigned at the Pampanga Intelligence Unit of the Pampanga Police under Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) and identified as PCpl. Resty B. Delima, 33, of Sta. Monica Subd. Bgy. Sto Niño, Plaridel Bulacan; PCpl. Jayarr G. Macaraeg, 36, of Bgy. Sanlibo Bayangabang, Pangasinan; PMSg. Rommel L. Nool, 37, of Zone 7 Bgy. Parista Lubao, Pampanga; Pat. Jhusua T. Fernandez, of Bgy. Dapdap, Mabalacat City, Pampanga; Pat. Bryan Steve M. Pasquin, 25, of Bgy. Sto. Niño, San Simon, Pampanga; PCpl. Alvin Pastorin, 33, of Bgy. Pogomboa, Aguilar, Pangasinan; Pat. Bjay A. Sales, 30, of Bgy. Mabini, Moncada Tarlac; PCpl. Norman A. Lazaga, 34, of Bgy. Pindangan Centro, Alcala Pangasinan; Pat. Jayson M Martinez, 28, of Bgy. Dalig Viejo, Burgos Isabela; and Pat. Jeff Van D. Cruz, 25, of Bgy. Bonga Mayor, Bustos Bulacan.

In a report, the cops arrived at the compound of Alberto Gopez residence in Bgy. Duat, Bacolor, Pampanga, and accosted the ten men inside for illegal cockfighting and divested the victims of their money and other valuables.

The complainants were identified as Alberto Gopez, 58, of Bgy. Duat, Bacolor, Pampanga; Allan Gopez, 32, of Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Angelito Pabalan, 70, of Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Ricardo Canla, 78, of Zone 1, Bgy. Balas, Bacolor, Pampanga; Rodolfo Canlas, 67, of Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Efren Canlas, 63, of Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Jose De Leon, 52; of Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Romeo Garcia, 70, of Bgy. Mitla, Porac, Pampanga; Jesus David, 57, of Mountainview, Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga; and Mario Sicat, 58, of Bgy. Concepcion, Bacolor, Pampanga.

The complainants said police operatives later released them without giving back their cash amounting to more or less P379,700, valuables, and before leaving the place of the incident on board their vehicles.
