TEN drug personalities, including a woman, were arrested by police following a buy-bust operation Tuesday before dawn in Valenzuela City.

Northern Police District (NPD) Director P/BGen. Ulysses Cruz lauded the Valenzuela Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) for the successful anti-drug operation that resulted in the arrest of suspected drug pusher Mar Socorro, resident of Dumpsite, Pinalagad, Malinta, and nine others who were all involved in using and peddling illegal drugs in Bgy. Karuhatan.

Cruz identified the other arrested suspects as Crisel Bravo, 34; Landrito Villegas, 38; Edmar Perez, 49; Rodolfo Masangya, 45; Ruel Fernandez, Jr. 36; Clifford Austria, 42; Ernesto Docil, 54; Mauricio Doon, 54; and his elder brother Juan Doon, 59, – who were all residents of Bgy. Karuhatan, Valenzuela City.

Investigation showed that before the drug sting operation, elements of SDEU received a tip from their informant that one alias “Mar” was involved in peddling illegal drugs, along with his cohorts, in Bgy. Karuhatan.

After a week-long monitoring and surveillance operation, a buy-bust operation was conducted at around 3:30 a.m. along Ilang-Ilang St., Bgy. Karuhatan, resulting in Mar Socorro’s arrest and nine other drug personalities.

Operatives of SDEU seized from the suspects more or less 30 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P204,000, a caliber .38 revolver with three live bullets in its chamber, several pieces of drug paraphernalia, marked money consisting of one genuine P500 and nine pieces of P1,000 boodle money used in the buy-bust operation and seven mobile phones.
