1 smuggling suspect killed in Cotabato
ONE of two armed cigarette smugglers in Pigkawayan, Cotabato was killed in a gunbattle with police officers out to arrest them in a sting, a report to Philippine National Police Officer-in-Charge (PNP-OIC) Lieutenant General Vicente D. Danao Jr. said on Friday. The suspect, identified as Bhan Mangcong Ali suffered gunshot wounds in the body and died while being taken to a local hospital. His companion is still undergoing treatment as of press time.
