1 fishpond worker killed in Pampanga

A FISH pond owner on Saturday shot dead one of his workers and injured another one while catching fishes in Sasmuan, Pampanga.

Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Police Regional Office (PRO)-3 chief, identified the fatality as Jofer Lobo, 38, while the injured was Russel Bonifacio, 50, both of Bgy. Malusac, Sasmuan, Pampanga.

Police were told the two victims were harvesting at a fishpond owned by Fernando Limpin III, of Bgy. San Nicolas 2nd, Sasmuan.

When Limpin saw the two men, he shot them. Lobo was hit in the chest and died on the spot. Bonifacio was hit in the hip.

Both were rushed to the Escolastica Romero District Hospital in Lubao, Pampanga, where Lobo was declared dead-upon-arrival.

The police are now hunting the suspect who is allegedly the employer of the victims.
